Twisti-Grip

An accessible art tool for those with hand mobility issues.

Brief

Improve on existing pen grips to accomodate a wider range of tools that can be easily swapped by the user or a supportive person with no compromise to it’s ergonomics for greater artistic freedom.

Development

The clients original grip was a simple wooden dowel with a hole. Using this as a basis there were a number of aspects to be prototyped with each iteration, in the beginning printability and assembly was a primary concern however these did give way to provide a more robust and thoughtful design that would be a joy to use day to day.
